In accordance with our commitment to diversity, at University School we believe that everyone — regardless of ability — should be able to enjoy and experience the online space, including our website and other digital channels/content. To this end, we want visitors to our website to know what we are doing to optimize the experience of everyone who visits our website.
In an effort to provide a positive experience for all who visit our website, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines offer businesses and organizations a roadmap to help make their web content usable for everyone, including people with disabilities of all kinds.
The WCAG 2.0 offers three levels of accessibility — A, AA, and AAA — and we are using Level AA as the target for USLowcountry.org. We have designed and built our website with accessibility in mind, and while we are aware that some of our efforts have fallen short, we continually review our website in an attempt to reach this goal.
