The 8th-grade graduation, speeches, and slideshow presentations are a celebrated and significant milestone at University School. Whether students enrolled in the most recent year or started in 3rd grade, this event is a school-wide moment of reflection, appreciation, and hope. The graduation takes place during the day in the USL gymnasium. With a few hour commitment, parents, faculty, and peer students witness just how far the 8th-grade young men and women have come during their time at USL.
Annual 8th-grade graduation traditions include graduates meeting with a chef and planning a special meal they then cook and serve for their families, USL faculty, and the student body. This illustrates and signifies their appreciation for the support and experience they’ve had at University School. Graduates also deliver speeches conveying their gratitude. The event concludes with slideshows for each graduate!
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate their successes and journeys forward.
