Being prepared to lead in a complex, ever-changing world informs University School’s teaching model and curriculum.

Each and every morning the entire student body (grades 3-12) convene for a Morning Meeting (join us one am in the gym!). Several current event programs from the globe are viewed and discussed along with “This Day in History”.

Head of School Jason Kreutner leads the meeting discussion, calling on students to draw responses from previous interdisciplinary lessons creating a collective distributed practice lesson each day.

Being informed, engaged, and connected to what is going on around you (locally, regionally and internationally!) helps shape the way you move through the world and engage with others. At USL we believe this and practice it daily!
